What do I need in the car?+
A supported GoPro, an Android phone with the StintCast Streamer app, suitable power and mobile coverage. The camera connects to the phone, which uploads over the mobile network.
Which cameras and phones have been tested?+
The app includes model profiles for GoPro HERO7 through HERO13 Black and requires Android 10 or later. Implemented profiles and physically tested combinations are distinct: the existing pilot focuses on the GoPro HERO8 Black. We will confirm current app requirements and access to the internal Android test when activating your team. Additional device profiles do not imply completed physical testing.
Is the stream public?+
The pitwall is for authorised team members and approved viewers. You manage access within your team. StintCast is not a public fan streaming portal.
Does a scheduled session start the camera?+
No. Scheduling, recording and uploading are separate. You explicitly start uploads in the app. An optional setting can link the app’s Record button to uploads; it is off by default.
Can I run a longer test at an event?+
For assisted live tests, we can enable a full package for your team for one month. Contact us with your planned event and camera count. Activation depends on arrangements and available capacity.
Does the server record the stream?+
StintCast delivers live video and sound; it does not provide a server recording archive. Local recording on the GoPro is independent.
